Season Update
As many of you may have heard, the Government of Saskatchewan has announced June 22nd as the date for the opening of Phase 4.1. For baseball this means, that as of June 22nd we will be able to, “return to practice.” Phase 4.2 will be “return to play” (this date has not been announced).
If you are no longer interested in playing baseball this July and August please contact our Registrar to cancel your registration by 12:00 Noon on Sunday, June 21st. You will receive a full refund minus the service fee. Knowing our final numbers is important in allowing us to finalize plans for evaluations and team sizes for scheduling purposes. Baseball Saskatoon met last night and we are now ready to launch our evaluation process. Evaluations will be held for 11U, 13U, 15U and 18U at the Nutana Baseball Complex from Thursday, June 25 – Monday, June 29. We will be following COVID guidelines during this process. Each player will go through the evaluation process one time on the date assigned to them. Upon completion of the evaluation process we will finalize our Cardinal teams for all divisions. We thank you for your continued patience as we navigated our way through this time of uncertainty. We will continue to share information as quickly as possible, when it becomes available.
Scheduling information for each division:
- JR and SR RallyCap will play 2 games per week on days selected on registration (Mon-Wed or Tue-Thu).
- 11U will play 2 games per week. The schedule will include double headers.
- 13U will play 2 games per week. The schedule may include double headers.
- 15U will play 2 games per week. The schedule may include double headers.
- 18U will play 2 games per week.
- City championships will be the last week/weekend of August.
Note – The majority of scheduled games will be Monday – Thursday. There may be some Friday or Sunday games but Baseball Saskatoon’s intent is to limit these games to a minimum. The intent is to allow families to enjoy the summer weekends while also allowing our kids to still play baseball.
