Coaching Education Opportunities

Respect In Sport Mandatory

Starting in 2014, Respect in Sport (RIS) is an online educational program to assist coaches and sport leaders in identifying abuse, bullying, harassment and neglect in sport.  Sask Sport Inc., along with the support of the Saskatchewan Government, has launched this required program for Coaches in the province to help to provide a safer and more respectful sporting environment for all to participate. The online training program is being provided free of charge for all users.

Schedules

Schedules for all leagues will be available from the Saskatoon Minor Baseball site.

Equipment  – Deposit / Pick Up

A $300 Equipment  Deposit will be required from each team PRIOR to the equipment  being released.  Equipment will be distributed to the COACHES ONLY prior to the season starting.  A reminder message from the Coordinator with the location, date and time will be sent to each coach.   This is a necessary procedure to ensure that equipment is returned promptly and cleanly at the conclusion of the season.  These cheques are to be post-dated to September 1, 2024.  Two return dates will be set up for end of July and late August.  Deposit cheques will be cashed unless the equipment is returned.

Coaches

Coaching Applications should be forwarded to the Division Coordinators. Please note that the Cardinals Zone will reimburse the registration fees for Cardinals coaches who take NCCP coaching clinics.

Coaches are asked to submit a criminal record check to the zone every year.   You can obtain a form from your division coordinator. Please take this form and 2 pieces of ID to the police station.   Once you have received your completed criminal record check, please return it to your division coordinator.
